Holy fuuuuuck. So guess what. I'm back in Melbourne for the 2009 Comedy Festival with a brand new fucken show and I am seriously fucken excited to do this shit.
Here's an idea of what the show is about. Basically I take a single word from the audience to start the show, which I use to inspire an entire hour of standup that is completely made up on the spot. Some stories from my real life, some made up stories, some fucken passionate opinions about shit... all completely improvised. You can come see the show every night please come see the show every night and you will see a brand new show every time -- not a single joke or line repeated.
This is not improv. It's not a bunch of people acting out wacky scenes and playing zaaaaany theatresports games. This is not standup. It's not well rehearsed jokes and material. This is improvised standup, a mix of the skills from both and let me tell you, fucken NO ONE ELSE CAN DO THIS SHIT. And really, I am good at this. Seriously. Ask the Adelaide Advertiser.
So yeah. Come see the show. It's probably the best show in the Festival. And I'm not just saying that because I'm in it. I'm also saying it because I haven't seen any others and the Festival hasn't started yet. But also because it probably is.
